Samuel Chukwueze suffers injury in AC Milan’s draw with AS Roma

By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Nigeria forward, Samuel Chukwueze was in action for Italian side, AC Milan as they played to a 1-1 draw with AS Roma in the Serie A on Sunday.
Chukwueze, who featured in his 17th league appearance this season, made way for Tammy Abraham in the 62nd minute.
Unfortunately, he went off with an apparent hamstring injury.
Tijjani Reijnders gave AC Milan the lead in the 16th minute before Paulo Dybala leveled the score line for the travelers in the 23rd minute at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, San Siro.
In the 33rd minute, Chukwueze found himself free inside the box and pulled the trigger, but his effort was brilliantly stopped by one of the opponent’s defending players.
He also found himself in space on the edge of the box in the 56th minute and smashed a glorious-looking effort toward the left side of the goal, but Mile Svilar thwarted him with a great two-handed save before he was replaced by Tammy Abraham due to injury.
The former Villareal player has scored a goal for the Italian side in the league this season, the same number of goals scored in the Serie A last season which was his debut in the Italian top flight.
He has scored two goals in the Coppa Italia this season with an assist in the UEFA Champions League.
With a market value of 18.4 million Pounds, Chukwueze’s contract with his current team runs till June 30, 2028.
