Nigerian forward Samuel Kalu is setting his sights on an ambitious goal-scoring spree this season for Belgian Jupiler League side KAA Gent, expressing his determination after securing his fourth goal in Gent’s 3-0 away victory against Lokeren on Sunday. Kalu, currently sharing the top scorer position with teammate Yuya Kubo, envisions replicating this success as Gent prepares to face Mouscron on Friday.
In an interview with Gent’s official website, Kalu shared his satisfaction about his recent goal, stating, “Something like that gives me a good feeling. Last season I was more the man of the assists, but I have planned to try and add some goals this year.”
His proactive approach toward goal-scoring has certainly paid off, contributing significantly to Gent’s recent successes. The 3-0 win against Lokeren not only showcased Kalu’s goal-scoring prowess but also marked the return of Moses Simon to action after recovering from injury.
