Serie A cause stir crowning Khvicha Kvaratskhelia over Victor Osimhen as Napoli king

Serie A has caused social media stir following its announcement of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia as the king of Napoli ahead of Victor Osimhen following the Italian side’s first Scudetto in 33 years.

Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia have contributed enough this season to get close to Diego Armando Maradona’s legendary status in Naples, even though he is still unmatched in football history and Napoli history.

The incredible performance of this duo has sparked an argument over who the face of Napoli’s title victory is.

However, the official page of the Italian top-flight football league recently posted graphics of the late Diego Maradona crowning Khvicha Kvaratskhelia as the King of Naples.

Football fans across the world, especially Africans,  took to the page to drop negative comments tagging it as ‘racism’ to snub Osimhen for Kvara.

A few minutes before Napoli’s match versus Fiorentina, Serie A posted again, this time Osimhen and club captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo are side-by-side behind Kvara.

The post once again indicated that Kvaratskhelia has once more been named Napoli’s hero.
