Serie A: Victor Osimhen fires blank as Napoli falter against Juventus

Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen failed to rescue Napoli from avoiding another Serie A defeat as they fell to Juventus by 1-0 on Friday.
The encounter at the Alianz Arena was Osimhen’s first full game since returning from long injury lay off.
The Partenopei were heading to the fixture in search of their first win from the last five games but failed to achieve that even with Osimhen partnered up from by Kvicha Kvaratskhelia and Mateo Politano.
Both teams had chances to take the lead in the first half but fluffed it.
Juventus were able to make one of their second half efforts counted as Federico Gatti finished a perfect build up initiated by McKennie and Cambiaso.
What could have being the equalizer for Napoli was an Osimhen’s effort that was chalked off for an offside.
The Walter Mazzarri side pressed for a late goal to share the spoil but Juventus were able to protect the slim lead that sent them to top of Serie A log.
Napoli have now lost four of their last five games, and stand in fifth position in the league, twelve points behind league leaders, Juventus.
