Sevilla’s Nigerian forward Akor Adams has been ruled out of Sunday’s crucial La Liga match against Barcelona due to a tendon injury in his thigh muscle.
The injury occurred during a training session on Thursday, dealing a major blow to the player who had recently joined the club from Montpellier HSC.
Although the full extent of the injury is yet to be confirmed, this setback comes at a challenging time for the Nigerian international, who was eager to make an impact at his new club.
In addition to Adams’ injury, Sevilla also revealed that Belgian midfielder Sambi Lokonga picked up a hamstring injury during the same training session.
The Spanish club’s medical staff is closely monitoring both players, and updates on their recovery will be provided as the situation evolves.
