Hon. Kunle Soname, Chairman of Remo Stars Football Club and prominent Nigerian sports philanthropist, has showered players and officials across the club’s teams with generous cash rewards and a brand-new car following an outstanding 2024/2025 football season.
In celebration of Remo Stars’ first-ever Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title, Soname awarded the men’s team ₦25 million, praising their consistency, discipline, and character throughout the campaign.
The Ikenne-based side’s historic triumph marks a significant milestone after years of steady growth in Nigeria’s top flight.
The women’s team, Remo Stars Ladies — who only debuted in the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) two seasons ago — were rewarded ₦10 million for their impressive top-four finish, underscoring their rapid ascent as one of Nigerian women’s football’s most promising sides.
Soname also recognized the club’s youth development outfit, Beyond Limits FA, which recently clinched the B17 Elite trophy at the prestigious Gothia Cup 2025 in Sweden. The team received ₦5 million for flying Nigeria’s flag proudly on the international stage.
In appreciation of the club’s passionate supporters, the Remo Stars Supporters Club was gifted ₦2 million, with Soname commending their “unwavering support and electric presence both home and away.”
Highlighting the evening was the presentation of a brand-new car to standout midfielder Olamilekan Adedayo. His leadership and clutch performances during the title-winning campaign earned him this special recognition from the club.
Speaking at the celebratory event in Ikenne, Soname emphasized the importance of investing in excellence and motivation.
“We are building a legacy here. Everyone who plays a role deserves to be seen, heard, and appreciated. This is not just about winning; it’s about setting a standard in Nigerian football.”
Since its founding in 2004, Remo Stars FC has transformed from a local Ogun State club into a national football powerhouse under Soname’s visionary leadership.
His latest gesture cements his standing as one of Nigerian football’s most passionate and committed private investors.
