Stefan Schwoch criticizes Victor Osimhen’s penalty record after miss against Juventus

Former Napoli striker Stefan Schwoch has raised concerns about Victor Osimhen’s penalty-taking abilities following his recent miss against Juventus.
During the match, Osimhen’s penalty was saved by Wojciech Szczęsny, but Giacomo Raspadori capitalized on the rebound, securing Napoli’s 2-1 victory.
This miss marked Osimhen’s third unsuccessful penalty out of seven attempts, highlighting a concerning trend where he has failed to convert nearly half of his penalties.
Speaking on Italian TV program Il bello del Calcio, Schwoch acknowledged Osimhen’s talent but criticized his performance from the penalty spot, stressing that his penalty-taking skills appear to be lacking.
“It’s impossible not to save it (Osimhen’s penalty) given his body posture. Three errors out of seven attempts from the spot are too many,” Schwoch commented.
“There are phenomenal players who, however, aren’t skilled from eleven meters. Osimhen appears to be one of them.”
