The Nigeria national football team will participate in a four-nation international friendly tournament scheduled to take place in Antalya, Turkey.
The development was confirmed by the Jordan Football Association, which announced that the competition—originally planned to be staged in Jordan—has been moved due to the current political situation in the Middle East.
In a statement released by the federation, officials explained that relocating the tournament would help ensure the smooth organisation of matches and facilitate easier movement for teams and supporters.

“The Jordanian Football Association has decided to move the matches of the four-team international friendly tournament, scheduled for March 2026, to be held in the Turkish city of Antalya, due to the current situation in the region and the limited movement of people,” the statement read.
The mini-tournament will feature the host nation’s team, Jordan national football team, alongside the Nigeria national football team, Iran national football team and Costa Rica national football team.
The competition is expected to provide valuable preparation matches for the participating teams as they continue their build-up for upcoming international competitions and qualifiers.
