Super Falcons invite Evelyn Ijeh’s hat-trick lifts Sweden U-23 to victory over Denmark

Nigeria eligible forward, Evelyn Ijeh scored three goals to help the Swedish U-23 women’s side to a 3-1 win against Denmark in a friendly match on Sunday.

Sweden had to come from behind after Cecilie Fløe had put the Danish side ahead in the seventh minute.

The AC Milan player, Ijeh was at the end of Stina Lennartsson’s assist for the equaliser in the 23rd minute.

A minute later, she gave her side the lead for the first time in the game from Matilda Nilden’s assist.

The former Vaxjo forward completed her hat-trick in the 28th minute from Paulina Nystrøm’s assist.

Ijeh is currently on loan at the Italian side, AC Milan from the Mexican outfit, UANL Tigres.

She previously played for Swedish teams, Göteborg, BK Hacken, Lidkoping, and Vaxjo before moving to Mexico.

She is eligible to play for Sweden and Nigeria.

Her father, Peter Ijeh was a former Nigerian international, and her sister, Josephine also plays football.
