Hertha Berlin have received boost for their quest to remain in the German Bundesliga with the return of their Nigerian winger, Chidera Ejuke, according to the club.
Ejuke has been out of action for four months due to terrible knee ligament injury he suffered in December, 2022 after he had hit the ground running in Germany on completing his loan move from Russian side, CSKA Moscow.
The 25-year-old, who has provided three assists in 15 league appearances for Hertha was slated to return to training in January but his recovery date was stretched.
On Tuesday, Hertha announced Ejuke’s return from injury with his picture in the training and the Super Eagles winger is expected to be listed for the club’s next game against Werder Bremen on Saturday as the Old Lady are still battling for survival in the German top flight.
Hertha Berlin have accrued 25 points from 28 games played, five points away from safety and will need a spark of player like Ejuke to see them out of their present status.
