TalkSPORT pundit Trevor Sinclair has been taken off the air by the radio station after he sparked a livid backlash on Twitter with a submit following The Queen’s demise.
Buckingham Palace introduced at 6:30pm on Thursday that Queen Elizabeth II had died at her house in Balmoral on the age of 96, ending her 70-year reign.
The information sparked an outpour of feelings across the UK and the world, with many taking to social media to supply the Royal household messages of condolence and assist. Alternatively, many weren’t so good with their feedback and Sinclair fell into that bracket.
The talkSPORT pundit apparently reacted to the information by tweeting through the Mirror: “Racism was outlawed in England within the ’60s & its been allowed to thrive so why ought to black & brown mourn!! #queen.”
The tweet has since been deleted and the previous footballer’s Twitter account has been deactivated.
TalkSPORT initially responded to requires Sinclair to be axed with a tweet studying: “Now we have been attempting to make contact with Trevor Sinclair following opinions expressed on his Twitter account. talkSPORT doesn’t assist these views expressed and is investigating the matter.”
The radio station has now launched a press release confirming that they’ve suspended the pundit following his feedback, which learn:
