Temilope Owoeye bids Delta Queens farewell after moving to Morocco

Temilope Owoeye has bidded former Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership Champions, Delta Queens farewell.

She dropped her farewell message on her social media this week.

The former Nasarawa Amazons player has joined the Moroccan side Raja Ait Iazza.

“Today, I bid farewell to Delta Queens Football Club, a place I’ve proudly called home and where my dreams found wings,” Owoeye posted on her Facebook page.

“From winning Woman of the Match at the WAFU B Championship to earning my first international recognition, Delta Queens has been the foundation of my growth. It was here I gained the opportunity to play in Nepal, a journey that enriched me both as a player and as a person.

“This club has given me countless breakthroughs, unforgettable memories, and a family that will always hold a special place in my heart. Now, as I embark on a new chapter with Raja Ait Iazza in Morocco, I carry the lessons and love from Delta Queens with me.
Thank you to the management, my teammates, and the amazing fans who stood by me through every moment. No matter where life takes me, Delta Queens will always be my home.”

Owoeye joined Delta Queens from Nasarawa Amazons after also playing for Edo Queens in the NWFL Premiership.

She was part of Delta Queen’s side which reached the final of the 2023 West Africa Zone B (WAFU-B) Women’s Champions League, where then Tosan Blankson’s side lost 1-0 to Ampem Darkoa.
