The Nigeria Super Eagles forward began the match on the bench but was introduced in the 73rd minute. He made an immediate impact, scoring Hamburg’s equaliser in the 83rd minute to make it 2-2.

Hamburg had taken the lead through Youssoufa Poulsen before an own goal by Bornauw in the 45th minute brought Hoffenheim level before half-time.

The hosts moved in front again eight minutes after the restart when Conte scored in the 53rd minute, leaving Hoffenheim on course for victory.

Moffi’s late intervention changed the momentum of the match, and Miro Muheim completed Hamburg’s comeback with a late winner to secure all three points.

The goal gives Moffi an early confidence boost as he works to establish himself at Hamburg and make an impression in the Bundesliga.
