Three Bayelsa Queens stars named in WAFU-B Women’s Champions League Group Stage Best XI

Bayelsa Queens have been rewarded for their dominant group stage performance at the 2025 WAFU-B Women’s Champions League Qualifiers, with three of their players named in the Best XI.

Defender Chinyere Iheoma, midfielder Mary Aderemi, and forward Shakirat Moshood were all included after playing pivotal roles in guiding the Prosperity Girls to a flawless record in Group B.

The Nigerian champions recorded victories over Police Ladies (Ghana), ASKO (Togo), and Sam Nelly FC (Benin Republic), finishing top of their group with maximum points.

Bayelsa Queens will now face USFA of Burkina Faso in the semi-finals this week as they continue their bid to secure a ticket to the CAF Women’s Champions League.

Also featuring in the Best XI are three players from Police Ladies, two from ASEC Mimosas, and one each from USFA, AS GNN, and Sam Nelly FC.
