English Premier League side, Aston Villa will make a move for Nigeria winger, Samuel Chukwueze when the transfer market reopens in January, according to Football Insider.
According to the publication, Aston Villa is planning to acquire a new winger and Chukwueze befits the team’s thirst for a winger.
Chukwueze played for Villareal under the current manager of Aston Villa, Unai Emery and a reunion with his former coach might be in the wraps come the next transfer window.
Chukwueze is yet to score any goal this season in the Spanish LaLiga but has scored two goals with two assists in a Copa Del Rey game.
He has spent the last four seasons with the Yellow Submarine and has played over 130 league games for the team.
Within the four seasons, he has scored 15 goals and 11 assists in the league for Villareal.
The highlight of his career with Villareal is winning the UEFA Europa League title for the 2021/2022 season with victory over English Premier League side, Manchester United on penalties in the final match.
He was part of the Nigerian side that won a bronze medal at Egypt 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
