By Monsurah Olatunji

Nigerian defenders Tyronne Ebuehi and William Troost-Ekong have both secured relegation safety with their respective Italian clubs.
Ebuehi’s Empoli handed Juventus a fresh source of disappointment as they ripped the Old Lady apart in a 4-1 victory.
Although, he did not make the cut to feature against Juventus who were recently sanctioned with a 10-point deduction.
The 27-year-old right-back has made 25 league appearances for Paolo Zanetti-led side and has scored two goals and four assists this season.
The talented fullback become only the third Nigerian defender to score in Italy’s top flight after Taribo West and Ola Aina.
The victory against Juventus places the hosts 14th on the log with 42 points from 36 matches.
Elsewhere, Super Eagles assistant captain, William Troost-Ekong helped Salernitana maintain its top-flight status.
The Nigeria international linked up with the Garnets on loan in January with an obligation to buy.
Ekong put in an impressive shift as Salernitana played out an impressive 2-2 draw in their Serie A clash against AS Roma at the Stadio Olimpico on Monday evening.
The draw means Salernitana currently sits in 15th position in the league table with 39 points from 36 games and 9 points above relegation with just two  matches to go.
