U-20 WAFU-B Tourney: Nigeria land in Togo as Zubair lists 20 players for tournament

The head coach of Nigeria’s U-20 national team, Aliyu Zubair, has selected 20 players that will represent the country at the 2024 West Africa Zone B (WAFU-B) U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Qualifiers in Togo.

Nasiru Salihu and Charles Agada are the prominent players that made the squad for the tournament which will kick off on Thursday this week.

Goalkeeper Nathaniel Nwosu and Beyond Limits Football Academy star, Kparobo Arierhi also made the roster.

The flying Eagles landed in Togo on Tuesday ahead of the tournament after a week camping program at Remo Stars Training complex, Ikenne, Ogun state.

The winners of the last edition of the WAFU-B U-20 Tourney will face Burkina Faso and Cote d’Ivoire in Group B.

Hosts, Togo, Ghana, Niger Republic, and Benin Republic are in Group A.
