U20 Afcon: Egypt-bound Nigeria face late changes to travel schedule

The Nigeria U20 men’s national team’s contigent will no longer travel out to Morocco via Kano due to the non-availability of seats, according to ScoreNigeria.
The new travel plan will see the Flying Eagles now traveling to Accra, Ghana, and from there fly out to Morocco.
In preparation for the 2023 U20 African Cup Of Nations, the Ladan Bosso tutored side are to play two warm-up games against fellow U20 AFCON-bound teams while in Morocco.
However, with the change of plan in the team’s travelling arrangement, there are now fears over the impact of the changes on their arranged friendly matches. The short stay in Morocco is to allow the players to familarise with the weather condition in North Africa region at this time of the year as the tournament is slated for Egypt.
The seven-time African champions have been drawn to play hosts Egypt, Senegal and Mozambique in Group A of the Africa U20 Cup of Nations happening from 19th February to 11th March.
Nigeria will slug it out with Senegal in their opening match on February 19. The tournament will serve as FIFA U20 World Cup qualifiers where all 4 semi-finalists in Egypt will qualify to represent Africa in Indonesia later this year.
