U20 FIFA World Cup: 12 foreign based players earn Nigeria call up

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have sent invitation to 12 foreign based players to join the U20 side in preparation for the U20 FIFA World Cup.
Flying Eagles head coach, Ladan Bosso had called up a 39 man list to fight for a place in the U20 team to represent Nigeria at the age grade World Cup, with most of the players members of the bronze winning U20 AFCON.
To further add more value and options to the team, the NFF extended invite to 12 additional foreign based players in order to keep the competition for places in the team very high.
The 12 foreign based players invited to the Flying Eagles camp include, Kenny Coker – Norwich City (England), Joel Ideho – Arsenal (England), Michael Ologo – Istanbulspor (Turkey), Osakpolor Alessandro Odobo – Lechia Gdansk (Poland), Olubi Adams – Unatached.
Others are Oshaba Onuh- NK Hask (Croatia), Abel Ogwuche – Trelleborg (Sweden), Abdullahi Ibrahim Bewene – FC Banik Ostrava (Czech Republic), Ume Emmanuel – Botev Plodviv (Bulgaria), Tochukwu Nnadi – Botev Plodviv (Bulgaria), Ebenezer Akinsanmiro – Inter Milan (Italy) and Victor Eletu – AC Milan (Italy).
The 12 foreign based players have been given the date of May first as deadline to report to the Flying Eagles camp in Abuja, which was opened on the 28th of April.
Argentina have been scheduled to be the host of the U20 FIFA World Cup, which will start on the 20th of May to 11th of June 2023. The Flying Eagles will trade tackles with Dominican Republic, Italy and Brazil in group D.
