U20 World Cup: Nigeria were the better team than Argentina – Javier Mascherano

Argentina U20 coach, Javier Mascherano admitted Nigeria were better than them in the closely contested game.
The Flying Eagles advanced to the quarter-final of the U20 FIFA World Cup by condemning Argentina to a 2-0 defeat.
The former Argentina international attributed Nigeria win to their two costly errors, while he was expressing his disappointment with the result.
“We played the game we had to play and it couldn’t happen,” Mascherano said during the post match conference.
“Football is like that, sometimes it gives you and sometimes it takes away. Today we have to congratulate Nigeria.
“The team tried anyway, we have nothing to blame because the boys left everything unfortunately the two mistakes we had ended in the goals.”
