Vandrezzer FC: Nigeria National League side announce Ivorian as new head coach

Ahead of the next Nigeria National League (NNL) season, Vandrezzer Football Club has announced the appointment of Ivorian Niambele Adama Mohamed as the club’s new Head Coach.
The Ivorian coach, who holds a UEFA B License joined the lions on a long-term deal as the club returned to Akwa Ibom State from Lagos for its home games.
Coach Niambele represented Ivory Coast at U-17 and U-19 levels before moving abroad to play for Italian and Danish clubs.
At managerial level, the gaffer took charge of Denmark side, Thisted FC in 2012 shortly after hanging up his boots as a defensive midfielder for Blokhus FC, Denmark.
His appointment in Vandrezzer FC comes after a rigorous recruitment process that saw him oust several candidates interviewed for the same role as Head Coach.
“I want to thank the Management of Vandrezzer FC for the trust reposed in me. I am excited to get the opportunity to lead such a big club and I look forward to winning titles with the club,” said Niambele on the club website.
Coach Niambele arrived at Vandrezzer FC’s training ground on Thursday, December 1, 2022, where he took first-team training for the first time.
Vandrezzer FC finished last season in the seventh position with 29 points after 22 games in NNL Group B1.
The team will hope to improve on that performance and possibly top its group in a bid to gain promotion to top flight Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
