Victor Boniface beats Bruno Fernandes, Paulo Dybala to Europa League Star of the Week gong

Nigerian forward Victor Boniface has been rewarded for his outstanding performance for Royale Union Saint-Gilloise against Union Berlin with the UEFA Europa League Player of the Week award.
Boniface got the award for the overall best player after the first leg Round of 16 ties beating the like of Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes (2nd), Edmond Tapsoba (3rd), and Paulo Dybala (4th) to the coveted prize.
The 22 year old striker scored twice in Saint-Gilloise’ 3-3 draw against Union Berlin in Germany on Thursday giving the Belgian a boost of making it to the quarterfinals.
The German and Belgian teams traded goals throughout the six-goal thriller match, with the Boniface scoring twice.
The former Flying Eagles star has now taken his Europa League goals to five and will be hoping to get more in a bid to help Saint-Gilloise go further in the UEFA second tier club competition.
