Victor Boniface hits brace in Royale Union’s loss at Westerlo

Nigerian striker, Victor Boniface scored twice for his Royale Union on Saturday but not enough to safe them from suffering a 4-2 defeat to Westerlo in the Matchday 27 of Belgian Jupiler League.
The 22 year old Boniface who joined Royale Union in the summer from Bodo/Glimt took his season’s tally to five with four assists.
Westerlo were two goals to good in the opening 20 minutes of the match with goals from Belgian duo of Thomas Nathan Keybus and Nacer Chadli.
Boniface halved the deficit for the Union before half time as he turned in a through pass from Ivory Coast Jean Lazare Amani.
The Nigerian international got his second of the game and second for Royale Union through a rebounded effort.
The hosts find themselves in front again with 17 minutes to end the game as Amani committed a blunder in the box and allowed Maxim De Cuyper scored from the spot.
Malian Nene Dorgeles took the beyond another comeback for Royale Union with a stoppage time goal for Westerlo ending the game 4-2 for the hosts.
The defeat however pushed Westerlo level on points (42) with Gent occupying fifth position while Royale Union still holding their second position.
