Victor Boniface inspires Royal Union SG to Belgian Cup semis

Nigerian international, Victor Boniface was among the goal scorers for Royal Union SG on Thursday in their 4-0 bashing of Gent in the Belgian Cup quarter final encounter.

Boniface who has being in fine form for the Unionists this season scored the third goal of the night with a brilliant finish off a through pass from Senne Lynen, his second of the competition.

Other goals for Royal Union were brace from Jean Lazare Amani and the other from Gustaff Nilsson.

Boniface would then be subbed off with about 20 minutes to end the game but the job has been completed by the hosts.

Boniface has scored 19 goals in 30 competitive appearances for Royal Union since he joined from Norwegian side, Bodo Glimt.

Coach Karel Geraerts’ team will now awaits their opponents for the last four fixtures and their next match for Unionists is the Jupiler league against Royal Antwerp billed for Sunday.
