Victor Boniface: Nigeria striker inspires Union Royale to Belgian Cup quarterfinals

Nigerian striker Victor Boniface got a royal applause with his team mates on Tuesday Union Royale qualified for the Quarterfinal of the Belgian Cup following a 2-1 win over Oostende.
The tension soaked matched played at the Stade Joseph Marien in Brussels saw Boniface scoring his first goal for the Royale since October and it set the tone for the bright night for his side.
Boniface gave the Royale an early lead as he turned in Teddy Teuma delivery past Oostende keeper.
Theo Ndicka Matam even the score for the visitors eight minutes later following a defensive let off in Union Royale back line. Both sides canceled each other out with the remaining moments of the first half despite number of chances created.
However, the host grew up with more purpose in the second and gave the Royale fans pre Christmas gift with the winner that earned them a ticket to the last eight.
20 year old Ivorian forward, Simon Adingra reached to the end of a perfect cutback from Bart Nieuwkoop with five minutes to end the game and three the home fans into wild jubilation.
Boniface who joined Union Royale from Bodo Glimt in the summer has now registered four games in all competitions for the Belgian side.
