Victor Moses Reflects on 2017 Triumph and Aims to Close in on Teammate’s Records

Chelsea’s Nigerian international, Victor Moses, considers securing the English Premier League (EPL) title with Chelsea as the pinnacle of his achievements in 2017. Moses played a pivotal role for the Blues last season, contributing significantly to their fifth EPL title with three goals in 34 league appearances. Despite currently trailing Manchester City in this season’s campaign, Moses remains optimistic about Chelsea’s title prospects.

“Winning the league is the most important one. It is not easy to win the Premier League, and doing that this year is a massive achievement for me, for the lads, for every single one of us at the club, and I was very delighted,” Moses stated, emphasizing the significance of their previous triumph.

Addressing Chelsea’s current position in the league, Moses asserted, “We are not going to give up the Premier League easily; we are still in the race. We are still in the Champions League, the FA Cup, and Carabao Cup, so we will do the best that we can to try to win something.”

Moses, who is yet to score this season, expressed his admiration for teammate Marcos Alonso’s contributions and aspires to close the gap on Alonso’s goal and assist tally. Despite the intense competition, Moses is determined to make his mark in the remaining fixtures.

Reflecting on his 100th appearance for Chelsea against Brighton Hove Albion, Moses expressed his gratitude, saying, “It really means a lot. It was quite a long time ago, but then again, it seems like yesterday. It is a lot of games, and it is good for me to make 100 appearances for a great club like Chelsea.”

Looking ahead to Chelsea’s match against Stoke City, Moses acknowledged the challenge but emphasized the team’s strength. “When I see my old loan teams playing, I always want to watch them on TV and see if they do well. I wish them the best, but then again, I am a Chelsea player, and I want to be the best I can to help the club.”

As Chelsea’s campaign unfolds, Moses remains committed to contributing to the team’s success in various competitions.
