Victor Osimhen Confirms Talks With Lookman, Onyedika Over Possible Galatasaray Move

Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen has revealed that he has held discussions with fellow Super Eagles stars Ademola Lookman and Raphael Onyedika regarding a potential move to Turkish giants Galatasaray.

Galatasaray have been linked with moves for both players as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of sustained domestic and European ambitions. Lookman, who currently plays for Atalanta, has long been on the club’s radar, while Club Brugge midfielder Onyedika is also being monitored as a possible addition.

Speaking in an interview after Galatasaray’s clash with Atlético Madrid, Osimhen confirmed that conversations with the duo had already taken place.

“I spoke with Onyedika during the Africa Cup of Nations,” Osimhen said. “I also spoke with Lookman during the matches we played in the World Cup qualifiers.

“I told them about the Galatasaray fans and the beauty of the country, but in the end, they would have to make their own decision. Their arrival would be good for our club.”

Osimhen, Lookman, and Onyedika were all key figures in Nigeria’s impressive run at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. Although the Super Eagles narrowly missed out on the title, they ended the tournament on a high note with a victory over Egypt in the third-place playoff to claim the bronze medal.

With Galatasaray pushing to build a squad capable of competing on multiple fronts, Osimhen’s comments are likely to fuel further speculation about a potential Nigerian trio reunion in Istanbul during the current transfer window.
