Victor Osimhen praises Tolu Arokodare’s impressive form

By Monsurah Olatunji

Nigeria forward, Victor Osimhen has showered praises on his countryman, Tolu Arokodare following his impressive performance for Belgian side, KRC Genk this season.
The red-hot striker bagged a brace in Genk’s 2-2 draw against Royale Antwerp, bringing his tally to 14 goals in 23 matches with 6 assists.
The 24-year-old joined Genk in 2023 from Latvian club, Valmiera but struggled with form, scoring just two league goals in his debut season.
The Nigerian star has been in impressive form since the campaign began and is currently just one goal shy of his total from last season, where he netted 15 goals in 52 games.
Although Arokodare is yet to earn a call-up to the Nigeria’s senior men’s national team, Osimhen, who has been closely following his progress in Belgium, applauded his development.
“To see him making a huge name for himself and his team is something amazing. Knowing how he started, I know he will surely achieve greatness!” Osimhen wrote in reaction to a post shared by Naija Footballers.
“I go frame this one put for the house, nothing anybody wan tell me. Thanks, broski,” Arokodare replied.
