Victor Osimhen has offered a promising update on his injury situation, suggesting he could return to action sooner than initially expected.
The 25-year-old forward, who has been in fine form for Galatasaray, scoring seven goals in nine Super Lig appearances and three goals in four Europa League matches this season, sustained a muscle injury during the 74th minute of a match against Sivasspor.
According to reports from Turkish news outlet Fanatik, Osimhen underwent an MRI scan, which revealed a moderate strain and some bleeding in his right upper back muscle.
The initial prognosis suggested he would be sidelined for two weeks, ruling him out of three upcoming fixtures.
However, Osimhen is optimistic about his recovery. Despite missing the Europa League draw against Malmö, he confirmed that he feels fit and could feature in the upcoming match against Trabzonspor.
“I think I’m good, but I don’t know,” Osimhen told a Beyaz TV reporter when asked about his availability for the Sunday clash.
He continued, “It will be a difficult match, but we are ready to give everything for the victory. They should continue to support us. We are grateful for the support they have given us so far. We are ready to give everything to win this season.”
Osimhen’s early return would be a significant boost for Galatasaray as they continue their push for success this season.
