Victor Osimhen remains Nigeria’s Most Valuable Player ahead of Afcon 2023 – Report

Nigeria striker, Victor Osimhen is country’s most valuable player in terms of market value ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) kicking off on January 13, 2023.

According to TransferMarket, the 2023 Africa Player of the Year winner is valued at 110 million Pounds as of December 30, 2023.

The 24-year-old is 70 million pounds ahead of Bayer Leverkusen forward, Victor Boniface who is valued at 40 million Pounds.

Atalanta player, Ademola Lookman closely follow Boniface at 30 million Pound, two million Pounds better than Alex Iwobi (Fulham FC) and Taiwo Awoniyi (Nottingham Forest).

Terem Moffi (25 million Pounds), Nathan Tella (23 million Pounds), Samuel Chukwueze (23 million Pounds), Wilfred Ndidi (18 million Pounds), and Kelechi Iheanacho (16 million Pounds) complete the top ten most valuable Nigerian footballers.

The likes of Umar Sadiq (Real Sociedad), Calvin Bassey (Fulam FC), Gift Orban (KAA Gent), Paul Onuachu (Trabzonspor), and Akor Adam (Montpellier) also make up the top 20 most valuable Nigerian players.

Moses Simon (FC Nantes), Frank Onyeka (Brentford), Frank Osayi Samuel (Fenebahce), Ola Aina (Nottingham Forest), and Raphael Onyedika (Club Brugge) complete the top 20 Nigerian players on the most valuable list.

Most of the listed players are part of Jose Peseiro’s 25-player roster for AFCON 2023.
