Victor Osimhen was on target as Galatasaray recorded an emphatic 4–1 away victory over Antalyaspor, strengthening their grip on the top of the Turkish Super Lig standings.
The visitors got off to a flying start when Leroy Sané opened the scoring in the seventh minute, setting the tone for a dominant display. Just four minutes later, Roland Sallai doubled Galatasaray’s advantage to put the hosts firmly on the back foot.
After the break, it was Osimhen’s turn to shine. The Super Eagles striker produced a brilliantly placed finish in the 56th minute to make it 3–0, extending Galatasaray’s lead and taking his league tally to six goals this season — a perfect confidence boost ahead of the upcoming AFCON tournament.
Antalyaspor briefly pulled one back through Van de Streek, but any hopes of a comeback were dashed deep into stoppage time when Mauro Icardi sealed the win with a 93rd-minute strike.
The convincing victory keeps Galatasaray top of the Turkish Super Lig, maintaining their advantage over closest challengers Trabzonspor, as they continue their push for domestic glory.
Osimhen’s sharp display once again underlined his importance to the Istanbul giants, with the Nigerian forward heading into international duty in fine form.
