Nigeria international Victor Osimhen has been seen hanging out with Nigerian music icon Burna Boy (real name: Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu) during the ongoing international break.

Osimhen, who currently plays for Galatasaray in Turkey, has been a vital force for the Super Eagles since his rise to stardom.

His presence has undoubtedly boosted the national team’s performances—without him, the Super Eagles have struggled, recording 15 losses, 6 draws, and only 5 wins since the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

However, with Osimhen in the squad, Nigeria has seen a much more impressive record, picking up 16 wins, 9 draws, and just 3 losses.

Unfortunately, the reigning African Player of the Year has been sidelined due to an injury sustained during a Turkish Super Lig match against Kasimpasa, meaning he will miss Nigeria’s upcoming 2025 AFCON qualifiers against Libya.

Despite this setback, the 25-year-old striker took advantage of the international football break to visit Lagos, Nigeria.

While back home, Osimhen has been spotted with none other than Burna Boy, the Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter. Videos of the two Nigerian stars meeting at a club have gone viral on social media, sparking excitement among fans.

In an interview with CBS’s Morning Footy, Osimhen was asked how he compares to Burna Boy, particularly when it comes to who would be recognized more on the streets of Lagos.

He responded, “I think for me, it’s a different world. The music world is different from football.”

Despite his absence from the Super Eagles’ squad, Osimhen continues to make headlines both on and off the pitch, and his encounter with Burna Boy only adds to his already star-studded profile.
