Victor Osimhen’s presence won’t stop Napoli struggles in Serie A – Antonio Cassano

Former AC Milan playmaker, Antonio Cassano has revealed Victor Osimhen qualities won’t stop Napoli from struggling in the Italian Serie A this season.

The Partenopei ended their 33 years wait for the league title last season under the tutelage of Luciano Spalletti with Osimhen emerging the highest goal scorer with 26 league goals.

Cassano doesn’t believe Napoli can replicate the results and glory they had last season and he stated Osimhen’s influence isn’t will not be enough to see the Partenopei attain a top four finish.

“I wish Rudi Garcia a big good luck, but I also say that repeating what Spalletti did will be impossible,” Cassano was quoted by Napoli Magazine.

“I have a feeling and I’ll say something strong: Napoli will struggle to get into the top four this year. I say it right away despite the presence of Victor Osimhen, an outstanding player who always makes you start games 1-0.”

Napoli got off to a flying start in the Italian Serie A by defeating Frosinone 3-1 away from home and Super Eagles forward, Osimhen grabbed a brace in the encounter.
