Villarreal boss Fernando Roig reveals Samuel Chukwueze transfer situation

Villarreal President, Fernando Roig has revealed the transfer update on Samuel Chukwueze after the Nigerian made it known to the club that he wants to leave.

The Yellow Submarines are however, yet to receive an offer for the Super Eagles forward following speculations that Real Madrid are interested in the 24 year old playmaker, including interest from England and Italy.

However ,the Villarreal boss admits Chukwueze desire to leave the club for top guns in Europe but no offers have been received yet.

“It is true that Chukwueze is looking forward to playing for a big club in Europe or the Premier League,” Roig was quoted by Soccer Net.

“If an offer comes, we will sit down to negotiate. But at the moment, we have not received any offer.”

Chukwueze have a contract with the Yellow Submarines till the summer of 2024 and have declined to put pen to paper for contract extension at the club.

The forward had a good run last season scoring six goals including the famous brace scored against Real Madrid and providing five assists.
