WAFU-B U20 Women’s Cup: Opeyemi Ajakaye wins MVP against Niger Republic

Nigeria U20 forward, Opeyemi Ajakaye was awarded the Most Valuable Player (MVP) in the game against Niger Republic at the WAFU-B U20 Women’s Cup in Ghana.
The Robo Queens forward scored a hat-trick for the Falconets against Niger Republic to get on a flying start in the tournament.
Ajakaye got her first goal four minutes into the match when she controled the ball before sending it beyond the goalkeeper of the Nigeriens.
The goal poacher used her scoring instinct to position herself well for her second goal seven minutes later and eventually notched her third of the day in the 53rd minute to compete the first ever hat trick of the tournament.
The Robo Queens striker got the MVP award with her beast performance that caught the eyes of the technical jurists.
The Falconets will now face Togo in their next encounter on May 24 at Baba Yara stadium, Kumasi, Ghana.
Nigeria last group game will come up against Burkina Faso on May 28 at the Paa Joe Stadium, Ghana.
A win for e Falconets in their next game against Togo will seal their semifinal berth.
