Wasiu Alalade targets goals as Kwara United face Kano Pillars
By Wale Mustapha
Kwara United forward Wasiu Alalade is determined to continue his scoring run as he leads the Harmony Boys into a crucial Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) clash against Kano Pillars on Sunday.
The match, set to take place at the Mohammed Dikko Stadium in Katsina, is part of Matchday Eight of the NPFL season, with both teams looking to build on recent successes.
Alalade, who has netted two goals so far this campaign, acknowledges the challenge posed by the defending champions but remains confident in his team’s preparation.
“We know the match will be tough for us because Pillars are one of the best teams in Nigeria,” Alalade said.
“We are ready for this game and I want to score against them and, most importantly, get a good result.”
Kano Pillars, traditionally one of the most formidable sides in Nigerian football, will present a stern test for Kwara United, but Alalade’s personal goal is clear: to contribute to his team’s success and continue his form in front of goal.
