Abia Angels striker Nkechi Agams is aiming to make a mark and become a key player for her side this season despite a 2-1 defeat to Nasarawa Amazons in a Nigeria Women’s Football League encounter last Wednesday.

The Imo state born rejoined Abia Angels FC from Bayelsa Queens of Yenegoa during last season’s midseason transfer and the forward is eager to inspire his side to a NWFL Super Six qualification in the second phase of the campaign.
“We are working hard as a team and the results so far is a good sign that we are hoping to end the season on a good note,” she told media.
“I want to use my goals to help my team to finish well firstly for the NWFL Super 6 then we take it off from there because it’s all about teamwork and my teammates and coaches have been supportive and together we can get it right.”
Agams’ goal was her fifth of the season from six appearances for Abia Angels in the first stanza and she will aim to return from the mid-season break in a better shape on February 8.
