“We pray for more” — Tolu Arokodare delighted after debut goal for Wolves

By Wale Mustapha

Nigerian forward Tolu Arokodare has expressed joy after netting his first goal for Wolverhampton Wanderers, pledging to score more for the Premier League side.

Arokodare came off the bench on Tuesday night to seal Wolves’ 2-0 Carabao Cup third-round victory over Everton at Molineux.

The 23-year-old replaced Strand Larsen in the 68th minute and struck in the 87th, finishing off a move created by fellow substitute Joao Gomes.

Reacting on social media, the Super Eagles striker wrote: “First goal in gold and we pray for more. Next round let’s go!! #teatime.”

The former Genk man will be aiming to build on his bright start when Wolves travel to face Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League this weekend.
