Women’s World Cup: Lauren James apologizes to Michelle Alozie over violent conduct

England forward, Lauren James has apologized to Michelle Alozie over stamping on her during their Round of 16 clash at the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
A moment of outright indiscipline from James over the inability to get past Alozie, resulted in the English internal stamping her foot on the Nigerian defender.
The caution was given to the England star at first before the red card after the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) review.
The Chelsea star said she has love and respect for the beautiful Alozie and apologized over the violent incident.
“All my love and respect to you. I am sorry for what happened,” James quoted Alozie’s tweet on Twitter.
“Also, for our England fans and my team-mates, playing with and for you is my greatest honour and I promise to learn from my experience.”
England will square up against Colombia in the last eight of the Women’s World Cup.
