2023 AFCON qualifiers: Time and where to watch Sierra Leone vs Nigeria

By Monsurah Olatunji

The Nigeria men’s national team will take on Sierra Leone this weekend in a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier.
The Super Eagles will be fighting hard to return to first place in Group A entering this match just behind Guinea-Bissau whom they dropped three points.
The 2023 AFCON tournament will be held in Côte d’Ivoire, and Nigeria only needs one victory to secure their spot.
Since winning the competition in 2013, the Super Eagles have struggled to live up to expectations, but nine points through four games is a promising start, and they are almost sure of qualifying.
Nigeria has won three games and lost one while scoring 13 goals and conceding just two.
On the other hand, the Leone Stars have only won one game, lost one, and drawn two while stealing a point from the group leaders but fell to Nigeria in the rematch.
The two sides will face off on Sunday, June 18, at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium, Monrovia, Liberia, as the Leone Stars currently lack a CAF-approved standard stadium.
The game will kick off at 5 p.m. Nigerian time and will be available on cable network Supersport on DSTV.
