By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

With few days to the 2023 All African Games in Ghana, the Cameroon U-20 women’s side has withdrawn from the football event.

There is a case of withdrawal from the football event and the Central African (UNIFFAC) champions will not take part in the football events of the games due to financial constraints.

The team brilliantly qualified by obtaining their historic pass for the final phase of the 2024 U20 Women’s World Cup.

The National Olympic and Sports Committee of Cameroon (lCNOSC), whose administrative responsibilities and responsibility for the team return for this competition, will not be able to take Hassan Balla and his team to Ghana, due to budgetary constraints.

Cameroon was placed in group B along with Nigeria, Morocco, and Senegal.

With the recent development, Falconets will play two games in Group B of the tournament.

Christopher Danjuma’s side will face Morocco and Senegal in their bid to retain the gold medal won at the last Africa Games in Algeria.
