2023 KBSL Super 4 MD2 Wrap: Iliyasu Sports, Marshal Academy record victories

Iliyasu Sports Academy and Marshal Academy BSC recorded victories in the matchday two of the 2022/2023 Kebbi Beach Soccer League (KBSL) took place on Friday.
Iliyasu Sports Academy BSC and Magatakarda BSC won their first games on Thursday and put up an entertaining encounter.
The former earned a 4-3 win after extra time to move to the top of the table. Usman Mohammed had given Iliyasu Sports the lead in the first period but Usmanu Bello equalised in the second period.
Super substitute, Agbo Frank scored two quick-fire goals in the second period to give Iliyasu Sports a 3-1 lead.
Mzairu Muhammad reduced the deficit before the end of the second period. Usmanu Bello scored the only goal in the third period to take the game into extra time where Mohammed converted the winning goal for Iliyasu Sports.
The man of the match, Iliyasu Sports’ Usman Mohammed expressed his joy after the match.
“The game was very amazing and an entertaining encounter because the organisers of this league have the capability of developing youths in terms of sports,” Mohammed told www.nigeriafootball.ng.
We are very happy for the win. It’s not about the man of the match award. This victory is for the whole team.”
Earlier on, Marshal Academy BSC won a one-sided encounter 9-2 against Dallatun Kalgo BSC and returned to winning ways after opening match day defeat.
Marshal Academy BSC raced to a 3-0 lead in the first period thanks to goals from Bashiru Sani, Abdul Tamuna, and Surajo Abdullahi.
Goals from Abdul Tamuna (brace), Malace, and Dan Baba increased Marshal Academy’s lead to 7-1 with Abdulaziz Biki pulling a goal back for Dallatun Kalgo.
In the third period, Dallatun Kalgo’s Ila Yaro scored at both ends before Surajo Abdullahi’s goal sealed a 9-2 win.
Iliyasu Sports Academy BSC top the table with five points ahead of Magatakarda and Dallatun Kalgo both with three points.
Dallatun Kalgo BSC seats at the bottom of the log without any point.
The final match day on Saturday will see Iliyasu Sports Academy and Dallatun Kalgo BSC trading tackles before Magatakarda and Marshal Academy face off in the last game.
The team at the top of the table will be crowned champions of the 2022/2023 Kebbi Beach Soccer League.
