2023 Nigeria Beach Soccer League schedule to start in April

The third season of the Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) is set to kick off on April 22, 2023, with Kebbi State expected to host the Round One of the 2023 league season.
In a letter signed by the President of the African Beach Soccer Union (ABSU) and NBSL Coordinator, Mahmud Hadejia confirmed the kick-off date, with club licensing and registration taking place before the season opener.
Registration for clubs began on March 30 and closes on April 10 at a fee in a region of N100,000 (one hundred thousand Naira) after which a virtual club licensing and coaching clinic is expected to commence on April 12.
The NBSL had proposed its calendar for the season starting from April with Round 1 of the league season, while Round 2 of the season is expected to hold in May and Round 3 in June before the season-ending Super Four, where the Champions of the league will emerge in July.
The 2022 league season experienced an increase in number of teams from eight to ten teams (in 2021).
Niger BSC, Kogi Confluence BSC, Kebbi Fishers, Igbogbo Kingdom BSC, Manko Patigi BSC, Kwara BSC, Kelme Galaxy BSC, Smart City BSC, Kada Stars BSC, and Badagry Warriors BSC participated at the 2022 NBSL.
Kebbi Fishers and Kada Beach Soccer Club (BSC) won the first two editions of the NBSL.
