Nigeria’s U-17 girls have been drawn in the same group with hosts, Dominican Republic in the group stage of the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup on Saturday.

The 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup bronze medalist will also face Ecuador and New Zealand in the same group.

The top two teams at the end of the group stage will qualify for the quarter final.

Nigeria and Ghana have Africa’s best performance at the tournament with third place finishes.

The Flamingos narrowly lost out of the final last time out in India after penalties loss to Colombia in the semi final as Bankole Olowookere’s side hope to better their past outing.
