Nigeria’s U20 national team, the Flying Eagles, are set to kick off their 2025 Africa U20 Cup of Nations campaign in Korhogo, Côte d’Ivoire, with a highly anticipated group-stage match against Egypt on April 30.
The seven-time African champions will play all of their Group B fixtures at the 20,000-capacity Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium.
Their opening match against Egypt will start at 5:00 PM local time (6:00 PM Nigeria time).
Following the Egypt clash, the Flying Eagles will take on Morocco’s Young Atlas Lions on May 3 at 8:00 PM local time (9:00 PM Nigeria time), before concluding their group stage campaign against South Africa on May 6 at 5:00 PM local time (6:00 PM Nigeria time).
Currently in a training camp in Katsina, supported by the State Government, the Flying Eagles are putting the finishing touches on their preparations for the continental championship.
Securing a semi-final spot in Côte d’Ivoire will earn the team a place in this year’s FIFA U20 World Cup, which will be held in Chile from September 27 to October 19.
