Kano Pillars Forward Auwalu Ali Malam Set For Achilles Surgery After NPFL Injury

Kano Pillars FC forward Auwalu Ali Malam is set to undergo Achilles tendon surgery on Sunday after sustaining an injury during his team’s 3–0 victory over El-Kanemi Warriors FC.

The injury occurred during the Nigeria Premier Football League encounter, where Kano Pillars delivered an impressive performance to secure all three points. However, the win was overshadowed by the setback suffered by the influential attacker.

Medical examinations later confirmed that Malam suffered an Achilles tendon injury, which will require surgical intervention.

According to information from the club, the forward is expected to be sidelined for several weeks as he begins his rehabilitation process following the procedure.

His absence is likely to be a significant blow for Kano Pillars as they continue their campaign in the NPFL, with the player having played an important role for the club this season.

The club’s medical team will closely monitor his recovery, with hopes that the forward will return to action before the end of the campaign.
