2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifier: Time and Where to Watch Nigeria vs Zimbabwe

By Monsurah Olatunji

Nigeria will face Zimbabwe in a crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifier on Tuesday, with both teams desperate for a win to improve their standing in Group C.

The Super Eagles are coming off a 2-0 victory over Rwanda, their first win in the qualifiers after a rocky start. Meanwhile, Zimbabwe managed a dramatic 2-2 draw with Benin Republic, but still remain without a win in the campaign.

The match is pivotal for both sides. Nigeria, currently sitting fourth in the six-team group with six points, is four points behind leaders South Africa. Zimbabwe, in contrast, is at the bottom of the group with just three points from five games.

Historically, the two teams have met on eight occasions, with Zimbabwe’s only victory coming in a 2-0 friendly win back in 1981. Their most recent encounter in November 2023 ended in a 1-1 draw, with Kelechi Iheanacho’s equalizer salvaging a point for Nigeria after Walter Musona’s stunning free-kick put Zimbabwe ahead.

Nigeria’s morale is high following their recent win, but the Super Eagles know that anything less than a victory against Zimbabwe could undo their progress in the qualifiers.

Match Details:

  • Date: Tuesday, March 25, 2025

  • Time: 5:00 PM (Nigerian Time)

  • Venue: Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo

Where to Watch:

  • Live Broadcast: AfroSport TV, NFF TV, DStv, and select pay-TV channels in Nigeria.
