2026 World Cup Qualifier: Notsi announces 22 Lesotho players for Nigeria, Benin duels

Caretaker coach of Lesotho men’s national team, Leslie Notsi has called up 22 players that will prosecute the double headers 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Nigeria and Benin Republic.

The Likuena will kick start their journey to 2026 World Cup against the Super Eagles of Nigeria on November 16th in Uyo before hosting the Squirrels five days later.

Coach Notsi named a strong team for the encounters as he also handed a return to national team for two experienced players in Thabiso Brown and Bokang Sello.

The duo make a return to the squad after a long absence with Brown’s last game with Lesotho dated back to the 2021 COSAFA Cup while Sello last featured for Likuena under the mentorship of Thabo Senong.

The squad will include three goalkeepers, seven defenders, eight midfielders and four attackers.

Coach Notsi had hinted about naming a strong team for the qualifiers believing that the inclusion of those experienced players will be an added impetus to the team.
