Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) will attempt to revive their season when they host Ranchers Bees in Friday’s Matchday 9 EUROMATCH NPFL fixture at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan.

The Oluyole Warriors have gone five matches without a win and currently sit 17th in the table with eight points from eight games. Their record so far includes two victories, two draws and four defeats.

The run of poor results has increased pressure around the club, with supporters booing Technical Adviser Salisu Yusuf after recent matches. In response, the management, led by Executive Chairman Hon. Taiwo Lekan-Salami, convened a stakeholders meeting in an effort to ease the growing tension in Ibadan.

Defender Adelowo Gbolagade has asked fans to remain patient, while acknowledging the disappointment surrounding the team’s performances.

“We know this is a difficult moment, and we understand your anger, disappointment and frustration,” he wrote. “We are not giving up… Your support means everything to us.”

Friday’s opponents are also struggling near the bottom of the standings. Newly promoted Ranchers Bees are 16th, level with 3SC on eight points after eight matches. They have recorded two wins, two draws and four defeats, while scoring nine goals.

The meeting offers both teams an opportunity to improve their position, but the result carries particular importance for 3SC as they look to avoid being drawn further into the relegation battle.

Victory would also provide a much-needed lift before a demanding sequence of fixtures against Enyimba and Kano Pillars.
