Kelechi Iheanacho Aims to Break 2017 Goal Drought in Monday Night Clash

In a quest to rediscover his scoring prowess, Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho is eager to net his first Premier League goal of 2017 as Leicester City takes on West Brom tonight at the King Power Stadium. Iheanacho’s last league goal dates back to December 26, 2016, when he secured the second goal in Manchester City’s 3-0 victory over Hull City at the KC Stadium.

Despite playing 20 Premier League games (15 as a substitute) for Manchester City before his transfer to Leicester City last summer, the Nigerian forward has yet to find the back of the net in 2017. With only one start in five Premier League games this season, Iheanacho is not only eyeing a second start but is determined to end his goal drought on a Monday night, reminiscent of his last league goal.

In the same fixture, Iheanacho’s Nigerian teammates at Leicester City, Wilfred Ndidi and Ahmed Musa, are gearing up to contribute to the team’s performance and steer the former Premier League champions away from the threat of relegation. Ndidi is set to make his eighth consecutive start in the Premier League, showcasing his consistent presence on the field. Meanwhile, Musa is eager to make an impact, potentially securing his first appearance in the Premier League this season. As the trio aims to make their mark, Leicester City fans are on the edge of their seats, anticipating a thrilling Monday night clash at the King Power Stadium.
